Once again, in recognition of the enormous morbidity resulting from our country’s recent conflicts, we devote the first issue of the year to TBI among military personnel. The ten articles in print address topics from screening to white matter changes. The report of a randomized clinical trial of hyperbaric oxygen is already controversial—JHTR is preparing a thumbnail on this topic to assist our readers in responding to questions from their patients. Issue 1 also includes 5 ePublished articles that are not restricted to military samples and include investigations of the epidemiology of TBI, post-concussive symptoms and alexithymia.
